Online Tax Returns

The Process :
  • 2) Prepare your Tax Return
Select the year of the return you wish to prepare (please note our online system starts from the year 2009. If you have a return prior to 2009 that needs preparing please email us and we will be able to assist you from there)
Next complete the online questionnaire – This will customise your tax return so you will only have to fill in the items that relate to you so you can finish your return in as little time as possible.
Now fill in your tax return income and deduction details – For a list of information you may need please see below. Our system will calculate your refund as you enter your details so you can see exactly what you are entitled to along the way.
Please note our online system also has a self help function if you would like further information on a particular area on the tax return. Simply click on the item number to the left of the item of the tax return you require information on and the system will bring up a summary of the information you requested
Do not worry if you make any mistakes or are unsure of anything. Firstly we have a very powerful validation system which checks your return for errors as you go along. Secondly our specialised accountants review every tax return that comes through our system so if there are any errors we will fix from our end and update your return. Alternatively if you would like to ask a question or leave a comment you can use our inbuilt online message system and we will answer accordingly.
Do not worry if you cannot finish your return there and then. Our online tax system allows you to save your data and come back to it at a later date if you wish.
Once you have finished putting your tax return information in, simply click finish and follow the prompts
  • 3) Payment and lodgement of the return
Once you have finished your tax return simply select one of our payment options (see below) and settle your account. You will then be directed to sign your tax return. Once your Tax Return is signed it will be electronically sent to us and we will complete everything from there (usually within 1 – 5 working days). If we need no further information from you we will lodge it straight away with the Australian taxation Office (ATO).
  • 4) Refund
Once your return has been lodged with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) you can expect your refund within 10 working days (subject to ATO processing).
Your refund will be banked straight to your nominated account if entered your bank details when preparing your tax return otherwise a cheque will be sent to you from the ATO.
Please note 10 days is the usual time frame that the ATO process returns however if you have outstanding debts with the ATO such as centrelink debts or family assistance debts then refunds have been known to take a little longer.
